When she looked into the closet, he was just standing there.

She sighed. “I told you, mom says I’m too old for imaginary friends. She says you’re not real.”
“But I miss you” he said.
“I miss you too,” she sighed, “but I need to grow up.”
“Says who?” He asked, outraged. “You’re perfect. Now,”
He took her hand. “Let’s go on an adventure.”

She knew what she was doing was wrong. She was escaping reality only because she could. She could leave the thought of not being loved, of failing a class, of not being able to pay rent. All that mattered was the feeling of Sherlocks hand grasped around hers, pulling her through the hole in the wall, leading them into an ally not far off of Baker Street.

“Where’s John?” Amelia asked while they made their way to the flat.
Sherlock looked confused.
“Why do you want to know?”
“I-I don’t know…last time I was here..there was something wrong…something wrong with John..” Amelia answered with small ridges of concern between her eye brows.

“John… He…” Sherlock pauses, unable to look Amelia in the eye.

“Where is he, Sherlock.” Amelia stares questioningly at him. “What happened? What did you do this time.”

“It was all his fault!” Sherlock retorts. His baritone voice echoing off the walls of the empty sitting room in 221b Baker St. “It was him… Khan. He took him.”

“Khan..? Not that Khan..?” Amelia eyes Sherlock warily. 

“Khan took him. That’s why I brought you here. I need your help. Please.” Sherlock agrees. His eyes, begging Amelia. “Please, Amelia. Help me find John.”
